WHAT:

The Queer Birth Class is a go-at-your-own-pace, comprehensive childbirth education course to help LGBTQ+ families gather the information they need to go into labor feeling prepared, connected, and excited.

Merging 12 years in midwifery and doula work, I am honored to bring a birth preparation course specifically for queer families to my community. This class is informed by my experience becoming a non-gestational parent first and then going on to give birth to our second child, combined with my respect for and knowledge of the birthing process.

WHEN:

Now! And anytime you need it. Binge watch the videos, read the PDFs anytime, and take it in at the pace that is right for you.

WHERE:

The Queer Birth Class is an online course, so you can enjoy it (and implement it) right from where you are!

You will receive all the class content as soon as you sign-up, this way, you can go as fast or slow as you need to (and go back to rewatch as much as you want!).

You will also have access to monthly live group coaching calls and a private online group with all current students. The calls are not mandatory but are an opportunity to connect with me directly to clarify anything from the lessons, to dive deeper with questions, and to connect with other families in a similar stage of life.

WHO:

I created The Queer Birth Class after becoming a parent and helping other queer families prepare for labor and parenthood. This course is designed to help LGBTQ+ folks feel seen and to be informed as they embark on the vulnerable experience of giving birth.

Anyone in the LGBTQ+ (or Queer) community who is pregnant or partnered to someone who is pregnant: This is for you.

The Queer Birth Class follows the

Dream, Gather, Create

framework.

Dream

Envision what you want. Tune into yourself and your partner and learn what it is you're hoping for out of this experience.

Gather

Get informed! Learn all about labor physiology, how the process usually goes, what could go sideways, and what you're options are every step of the way.

Create

Put it all together with a birth plan - not just a sheet of paper, but discussions with your partner, your provider, and the other people on your team.
